Holly’s passion extends beyond the island and to the people of Cape May County.  Giving back to the community she lives is an important part of who Holly Rennie chooses to be. An 11-year member of the Avalon Lions Club, she served on the Board of Directors for 6 years as Secretary.  She has participated in food drives as well as multiple and varied fund raising and community service events, all in support of the needy in Cape May County.

Since 2010 Holly has arranged the Christmas Giving Tree at Ferguson Dechert Real Estate, collecting toys and clothing for the children of the Coalition Against Rape & Abuse (CARA) so that they have a Christmas.  CARA has always been in Holly’s heart; the Christmas Giving Tree is just one of the ways she makes these lives a bit better. Most recently, as a member of the Women’s Only Network, she has coordinated, collected and delivered Mother’s Day gifts for the CARA moms and coordinated the adopting of needy families at the Christmas season.

As a member of the Board of Directors of the Diller Home for Challenged Children since 2013, Holly has participated in multiple fund raising events, generating enough funds for 150 visually challenged children to attend a week of summer camp in Avalon.  As a member of the “Birds for Boobs” team, Holly participated in three separate 60 mile “Walk for the Cure” events, raising much needed funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
